Getting Around: Most visitors enjoy walking or riding bikes. At low tide it is possible to ride a bicycle on the water's edge for the length of Four Mile Beach. For those who wish to go further afield there are buses, rental cars, limousines and the local taxi service. We can organise car hire and advise on bus transport, at no additional cost to you.
Dining: There are more than 50 eating establishments in and around Port Douglas offering everything from a cheap pub meal to gourmet dining. Eat at a casual sidewalk café, enjoy a meal overlooking the inlet, or dine in five star elegance – the choice is yours. Feel like a night at home? Don't feel like cooking? Just call one of our home delivery restaurants and have dinner brought right to your door. Fare includes Chinese, Thai, Italian and, of course, pizza.
  
Banks: There are several banks in Port Douglas all with automatic teller machines. EFTPOS is available at the supermarket. Currency Exchange is available at most banks.
Churches: In the Mossman / Port Douglas area we have Anglican, Catholic, Uniting, Baptist and Christian Churches.

Weather
You will find that no matter when you visit Tropical North Queensland, the weather will be warm. In "winter" (June - October) temperatures range from an overnight low of 17°C to a daily high of 29°C.
During the remainder of the year the temperatures range from 19°C to 34°C, so you can leave all those heavy jumpers and coats at home!

Our nearest major international airport is Cairns which is 60kms from Port Douglas. There are several ways of reaching our doorstep: by local scheduled bus service, small express bus, hire car or limousine. We are more than happy to arrange airport transfers on your behalf.
