“Excellent location, friendly hosts, the best place in Port Douglas!”

We arrived late and we were left an envelope containing our key, there was a letter advising us we had received an upgrade! However literally as we opened the envelope Julie, the owner, came out to greet us and help us with our bags up to our room!

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with it's own kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities and we have to say it was spectacular. Full air con throughout and the luxury of being able to do your own laundry was amazing, especially after 2 weeks of having to deal with expensive hotel laundry services.

The biggest plus of this place is the location, you are a 5 minute walk away from the main centre of town, it's along a well lit street and both myself and my girlfriend never felt threatened at all. We overhead other tourists from the bigger hotels out of town saying that the shuttle bus service was often busy and only ran until certain times, not only this they said that eating in for breakfast/lunch at the hotel was substandard and often expensive. Whereas we could just walk into town no bother.

Julie and Gavin are the perfect hosts, even arranging for us to go on our trips for free and consolidating it into one payment at the end, which was extra handy. Every day we would come back from our trips and Julie would kindly as how we were and what we'd been up to - it made the place feel like a home from home and it was nice to see a familiar face every day.

The apartment itself was spotless, well equipped, quiet and we put our names down to use the barbeque facilities one night, which were excellent too. There was an outside fridge, table and chairs near the pool and everything was provided - the best way to cook some fantastic local produce.

All in all, the best way to experience a totally chilled out vacation in Port Douglas. Superb.

“Didnt want to leave...great find in Port Douglas”

My husband and I travelled the North of Queensland on a two week road trip - this has to be my favourite...I didnt want to leave.

We stayed in a gorgeous unit by the pool - everything about the unit is well thought out. Kitchen well equipped, washer and dyrer, clean everything. So comfortable, so convenient...the owners so lovely and very helpful.

Such a pleasure staying here, i would definitely come back.

“This is a gem - don't bother looking anywhere else”

This is a little gem. It has all you could want, an excellent location on a quiet road but within easy strolling distance of the main attractions . Gavin and Julie could not have been more helpful both with advice and organisation of things to do and see. All enquiries both before and during our visit were dealt with swiftly and pleasantly. Our apartment was well equipped, and clean. All appliances were of a very high standard.The pool was charming. We would definitely go back, not just because it offered excellent value for money, but also because it was so delightful.
